Finance Monkey ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address. This is used to identify your account and enable cloud saving of your models.

Financial model data: The pension, ISA, cash and stock portfolio data you enter is stored in our cloud database so you can access it across devices. This data is associated with your account.

Guest users: If you continue as a guest, no personal information is collected. Your data is stored locally on your device only.

How We Use Your Information

• To save and retrieve your financial models across devices
• To enable real-time sharing of models with other users you choose to share with
• To generate AI-powered summaries of your projections
• To provide customer support

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure in the EU (Ireland) region. All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted using TLS. Authentication tokens are verified server-side for every request.

Third-Party Services

• Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In for authentication
• Amazon Web Services for data storage and processing
• OpenAI for AI summary generation (only anonymised projection data is sent, no personal information)

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to third parties. Your financial model data is only shared with other users when you explicitly choose to share it via the in-app sharing feature.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as you have an active account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Shared model links expire automatically after 30 days.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data

Children's Privacy

Finance Monkey is not intended for use by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
